Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias 70/30) – Wigan
Location: Wigan
Hours: Monday-Friday, rotating 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm
Salary: £40,000 to £45,000 plus benefits
We are recruiting a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer with a strong electrical bias to join our clients busy Engineering team. You'll carry out fault finding, repairs, and preventative maintenance across a range of equipment, helping to minimise downtime and drive continuous improvement.
What you'll be doing
* Maintain and repair production machinery (electrical & mechanical)
* Support PPM schedules and improvement projects
* Diagnose PLC, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults
* Work closely with production and contractors to resolve issues quickly
* Ensure compliance with health & safety standards
What we're looking for
* Time-served Engineer with City & Guilds (or equivalent)
* Experience in a manufacturing or FMCG environment
* Confident with PLC fault finding and control systems
* Strong problem-solving and communication skills
