AI Engineer - Enterprise AI Products - UK | Hybrid
We're supporting a well-established enterprise software company building out a dedicated AI engineering capability focused on delivering intelligent features into live enterprise products used by global customers.
This role sits directly within product engineering teams and focuses on designing and shipping production-grade AI capabilities - not AI proofs of concept.
You'll work closely with engineering, architecture, and platform AI teams to build scalable AI-powered functionality into complex enterprise software products.
Key areas include:
* LLM integration
* RAG pipelines
* Predictive analytics
* Evaluation frameworks
* MCP/tool-calling interfaces
* AI-driven risk and impact analysis
What you'll be doing:
* Building AI-powered product features and intelligent analysers
* Developing RAG workflows and enterprise AI integration patterns
* Building MCP servers and AI integration interfaces
* Designing evaluation and quality processes for AI outputs
* Working on predictive models and anomaly/risk detection
* Collaborating closely with engineering and architecture teams to productionise AI capabilities
What they're looking for:
* Strong hands-on AI engineering experience in production systems
* Experience embedding AI/ML capabilities into enterprise software products
* Practical understanding of LLMs, RAG patterns, embeddings, and prompt engineering
* Strong engineering background in Python and/or TypeScript/JavaScript
* Experience with APIs, MLOps, integration layers, and AI service interfaces
* Experience with evaluation frameworks and measuring AI output quality
* Understanding of predictive analytics or anomaly detection on structured operational data
Nice to have:
* Graph-based analysis or dependency mapping experience
* Experience building AI capabilities for governance/compliance workflows
* SAP ecosystem exposure
