JOB TITLE: Smart Repair Technician DEPARTMENT: Smart Repair REPORTING TO PRONTO FIELD MANAGER INTRODUCTION The ‘pronto’ brand is part of Birchwood, the well-known Franchised Dealer group. We operate 2 accident repair centres specialising in Small to Medium vehicle damages and are looking to expand both the number of sites and employees. With state-of-the-art facilities which has benefited from significant investment, we are to go to for Alloy Wheel Damage Repairs, Bumper Scuffs, Chips, Cracks and hole repairs, alongside panel scratches, dents, and ding repairs. Most of our work comes from trade customers, with some plans for additional general retail work as the businesses progresses. They have a fantastic reputation, and with strong links to car dealers within the area, as well as benefiting from a continuous flow of work. MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB To carry out smart repair work to vehicles, efficiently and safely and to complete repair orders to the company’s and customers' satisfaction. To comply with and maintain Company policies, standards and procedures relating to quality and customer care within your department. By recognising and following work rules, you must demonstrate a willingness to foster strong working relationships with your colleagues functioning as a team player who is willing to accept and respond positively to criticism. KEY TASKS: (a) Carry out small to medium area repair techniques to cars and vans (b) Work in a highly organised manner to optimise personal efficiency (c) Be able to work to a demanding schedule, whilst maintaining a high quality of work MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: 1 Be aware of the importance of good customer service. 2 Carry out repair work to all vehicles as requested. 3 Advise relevant staff of any additional work found necessary on a vehicle. 4 Ensure that work is completed within manufacturers' standard times where possible. 5 Give a full description of work carried out on the job card. 6 Ensure where possible that customers' vehicles are ready for the time required. 7 Keep personal working area clean and free from potential hazards, reporting any potential hazards to your supervisor. 8 Take all reasonable care of customers' vehicles. 9 Read all technical specifications and Health & Safety regulations. 10 Attend training courses to update personal skills and knowledge as required WORKING LOCATION This role is located in Eastbourne The Birchwood Group are committed to ensuring equality, diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
