About the Role
The role of a security Coordinator is vital for maintaining a safe and secure environment on campus. You will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of the team ensuring adequate cover is always maintained on campus. The candidate will be responsible for assigning tasks, monitoring and upholding high standards of team performance, conducting regular briefings and training sessions.
Other duties will include Implementing security protocols and procedures, managing access control systems, conducting and coordinating patrols and inspections to ensure compliance, leading and overseeing daily security operations, provide effective leadership during incident response, such as fires, evacuations, or medical incidents, ensuring emergency procedures are followed.

The Ideal candidate will foster and maintain positive relationships with the team and wider University community and be proficiently in the use of computer systems and software as required for the role.
The candidate will be caring and compassionate, they must be resourceful, perceptive, and proactive as well as having a passion for exceptional customer service. The right candidate will be efficient, an extremely good communicator, and is used to working at a busy and demanding and environment leading large security teams.
We are seeking for an individual with strong verbal and written communication skills, able to take ownership of responsibilities and work effectively with minimal supervision, with keen observation skills to identify potential security threats and excellent leadership and motivational skills to drive team performance.
The candidate must be able to maintain composure and remain calm under pressure. Take effective, immediate, appropriate action and effective decisions when incidents arise, ensuring that the personal safety of all is always preserved. Have a good physical condition to perform patrols and respond to incidents.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience leading large security teams, ideally within the Educational Sector, a passion to make a positive difference to people and the ability to work well within a team.
