Join Siemens Healthineers as an Instrument Assembly Technician within the Specialty Lab Diagnostics business line at our Llanberis facility. This role supports a strategic project for our SLS business line and Llanberis, focusing on building, testing, developing, and standardizing assembly processes for the IMMULITE XPi analyser, following the standards set out in IED.
You will collaborate with the existing instrument knowledge transfer team to develop best practices in workstation design and manufacturing flow, ensuring a smooth ramp-up and the development of a world-class operation.
The role initially operates on a day shift (8:30 am to 4:30 pm), transitioning to 6 am to 2 pm and 2 pm to 10 pm shifts, five days a week.
Job Responsibilities:
* Build and test mechanical and electrical assemblies following IED standards.
* Manage non-conforming materials, complete documentation, and segregate materials as required.
* Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, escalating issues as needed.
* Complete training within set timelines.
* Support internal and third-party audits.
* Participate in meetings, report accurately, and own KPI and performance targets.
* Utilize business systems such as IED, CATSWEB, CERDAAC, SAP, Documentum, and Learn4U.
* Ensure compliance with QMS, safety, health, and environmental legislation.
Your Skills & Experience:
* Curious, eager to learn, with excellent communication skills.
* Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
* Proficiency with testing equipment and tools.
* Attention to detail and organizational skills.
* Strong teamwork and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
* Knowledge of GDP & GMP practices.
Desirable Qualifications:
* 3+ years in manufacturing.
* Electrical and mechanical knowledge.
* IT skills, especially Microsoft Office.
* Experience with IMMULITE XPI or similar diagnostic equipment.
* Knowledge of quality control processes.
* Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles.
