Overview
The Steam projects team leader will be working with the project team to deliver rental boiler packages across the UK & Ireland. The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of project execution from initial site survey all the way through to aftercare.
Responsibilities
* Conduct site surveys to ascertain technical requirements of potential rental solutions.
* Contribute to the design phase of the project.
* Manage and arrange the commissioning activities prior to customer handover.
* Work alongside and liaise with third‑party companies in the delivery and support of projects.
* Ensure that all equipment complies with PSSR regulations.
* Maintain regular customer contact to establish requirements and ensure a high standard of customer service.
* Maintain the spares management system.
* Provide technical support to the sales and service team during the tendering phase.
* Collaborate with Atlas Copco business colleagues to promote Atlas Copco products and services.
* Manage the team of steam field engineers.
Qualifications
* Previous project engineering experience, preferably related to steam boilers.
* Previous commissioning experience, preferably related to steam boilers.
* Experience with Weishaupt & Driezler burners is advantageous.
* Strong HSE track record.
* Experience with pipework, hose work and associated ancillaries.
* Technical support experience relative to steam boilers.
* Ability to read P & ID as well as electrical schematics.
* Good technical and theoretical knowledge of steam boilers and subsystems.
* Knowledge of shell/tube steam boilers is crucial.
* Possess a recognised qualification in a mechanical or electrical discipline.
* BOAS Cat 2 & IGAS 3 are advantageous.
* Good IT skills and competences; experienced user of Office 365.
* Knowledge of PSSR2000 & PED statutes.
