Key Responsibilities
1. Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons that cater to the diverse needs and abilities of SEN students.
2. Adapt teaching strategies and resources to accommodate various learning styles and challenges.
3. Provide one-on-one support and small group instruction to students who require additional assistance.
4. Assess student progress regularly and adjust teaching methods accordingly to ensure continuous improvement.
5. Collaborate with colleagues, SEN coordinators, and external agencies to develop comprehensive support plans for students with SEN.
6. Maintain accurate records of student achievements, progress, and behavior.
Requirements:
7. Qualified teacher status (QTS) with a degree in Mathematics or a related field.
8. Proven experience teaching Maths to students with special educational needs, preferably in a mainstream or SEN school setting.
9. Excellent understanding of different SEN conditions, learning difficulties, and appropriate teaching strategies.
10. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
11. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the educational development of SEN students.
