We’re seeking a Senior Cyber Security Analyst to join our team in the Digital Risk and Security Branch. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with vulnerability management and strong familiarity with Identity and Access Management (IAM) in major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Daily responsibilities include monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security intelligence to mitigate risks within IAM and Vulnerability Management. You will support IAM and Vulnerability Management practices, help tighten security around access control and privilege access management, and assist in improving, implementing, and documenting security processes to reduce risk.
The role requires a strong technical security operational background with familiarity with security tools such as IAM, vulnerability management tools, anti-virus, and mobile device management. The successful candidate will have opportunities for professional development, including access to training platforms and support from colleagues and senior management.
Senior Cyber Security Analysts are responsible for protecting the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information and information systems used by government and partners across government.
* Investigate and manage security incidents as appropriate.
* Maintain security administration processes and ensure support requests are handled according to procedures.
* Specify requirements for environment, data, resources, and tools, and execute using agreed methods and standards.
Responsibilities
* Technical Security Operations: Provide advice and guidance on security controls aligned with policies and procedures.
* Vulnerability Management: Investigate vulnerabilities and support their remediation.
* Identity and Access Management: Manage security administration processes and support requests.
* Privilege Management: Guide access rights and privileges.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate security risks to managers and stakeholders.
* Cyber Threat Awareness: Stay current on malware and cyber threats.
* Cyber Security Expertise: Maintain knowledge of specific security domains and execute specialized tasks.
Essential Experience
* Experience developing security procedures for multiple information systems or ensuring compliance.
* Experience applying routine security procedures like vulnerability management, access rights management, malware protection, or IAM independently.
Technical Skills
This role is aligned with the Senior Cyber Security Analyst profile within the Digital, Data, and Technology Profession. Skills will be assessed during the technical assessment phase.
