Accountabilities
• Conduct quality inspections at the Immingham facility and site locations in accordance with Quality Plans and Inspection & Test Plans (ITP).
• Perform in-process inspections per ITPs and Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) to ensure work proceeds in accordance with specifications, the approved drawings and procedures.
• Verify contractors’ inspection and test activities have been performed in accordance with the approved Quality Plan, ITP and work instructions.
• Maintain and update contemporaneous inspection, quality and job records.
• Verify material and identification traceability.
• Review of QA/QC documentation prior to commencement of any fabrication / construction work and support with the compilation of quality data dossiers.
• Support the production, control and update of ITPs, WPSs and welder qualifications.
• Review and verify subcontractor test plans, procedures, techniques and operator qualifications.
• Identify and verify compliance with all applicable international and national legislation, directives and product conformance requirements.
• Identify failures and non-conformances associated with customer and stakeholder requirements and ensure effective action is taken to resolve any issues and identify the root causes.
• Actively contribute to continuous improvement of Company processes and procedures.
• Promote quality awareness throughout the Company, emphasising excellence, continuous improvement and corrective action.
• Conduct welder and workstation audits when required.
• Liaise with clients’ QA representatives and third-party inspectorates.
• Attend meetings for production and quality.
• Deal with technical and quality queries from within the company and externally.

• Disciplined in the adherence to quality stage-gate checking.
• Proactive in communicating the Company's quality performance data to the group via the Quality Lead and Head of Quality.
• Proactive in communicating quality related issues to the business, including management and trades personnel .
• Has knowledge and understanding of customers' specific requirements and expectations, ensuring that the appropriate plans, specification, reviews and controls are in place.
• Has a good working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and the Company’s Quality Management System.
• Has a good working knowledge of applicable NDE techniques and can coordinate all applicable inspection activities.
• Has a good working knowledge of national and international welding standards and can coordinate all applicable inspection activities.
• Has a understanding of metallurgy applicable to materials commonly used and associated weldability issues.
• Confident using work specific systems including manual data recording systems and FPCS.
• Interfaces with internal departments in a professional manner to ensure cohesive approach to quality and product delivery with clear lines of demarcation.
• Has the ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team.
• Has suitable formal qualifications to undertake welding inspection and interpretation of radiographs.
Experience, Skills & Qualifications:
• Solid engineering background (preferably of a welding nature but not essential)
• Qualified to a minimum of CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector
• Can build effective working relationships at all levels
• Can communicate relevant skills, knowledge and experience and apply them professionally as a trusted expert
