We are seeking a Team Leader to join our services in Bridgwater.

Purpose of Job
* Ensure the needs of young people in Headway’s care are met, providing a positive and safe living environment.
* Manage and lead Residential Support Workers to deliver high-quality childcare.
Key Responsibilities
* Work on shift to ensure the home runs efficiently and effectively, safeguarding young people and creating a homely environment.
* Manage Residential Support Workers, providing supervision according to company policy.
* Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies, legislation, and confidentiality standards.
* Support multi-agency collaboration and maintain positive relationships with staff, community, authorities, and other agencies.
* Promote best practices, act as a role model, and support young people's participation in decision-making.
* Uphold anti-discriminatory and equal opportunity practices.
* Ensure adherence to health & safety, fire, and data protection policies.
* Attend training and support QCF learners as required.
Essential Skills
* Good overall education standard.
* Working towards or holding a Level Diploma for the Children and Young People’s Workforce or equivalent.
* Up-to-date knowledge of child care legislation and standards.
* Experience working with young people with challenging behaviour.
* Strong report writing, numeracy, and IT skills.
* Empathy, commitment to high standards of child care, and ability to support young people's outcomes.
* Leadership skills, ability to supervise and develop staff.
* Knowledge of relevant legislation and child protection protocols.
