Prestwood Coach House is a privately owned care home accommodating up to 32 residents, located in Prestwood, near Stourbridge, and offers an excellent working environment. A rare, full-time, permanent vacancy (see shift details below) has arisen within our Senior Management daytime team.
As Housekeeping Manager you would work closely with the Manager and Deputy, taking charge of the Housekeeping and Maintenance teams, to deliver a needs-led service. Duties would include, but are not limited to; ensuring that the home is cleaned and presented to a high standard, hands on cleaning, rota and annual leave management, staff supervision and appraisal, liaising with external contractors.
Experience in a similar role is essential and candidates should have a good knowledge of infection control procedures. Full induction and orientation training will be provided. The successful candidate will have a positive, can-do attitude and be able to demonstrate a good understanding of the needs of an elderly client group, of person-centred care, care home compliance and sound health and safety practices. They will be a good communicator and able to lead and work as part of a team.
Rotas are usually repeating and organised around 8 weeks in advance to facilitate the planning of home life and commitments.
· The post is full time for 5 shifts per week (7.5 hours)

The successful candidate will require an enhanced DBS check.
The home is not on a bus route so candidates would require their own transport or other arrangements would need to be considered.
