An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Highways NEC Project Manager to join a busy local authority client in the Manchester area. The main duties of the experienced Highways NEC Project Manager are: Manage highways construction projects under NEC contracts, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to council standards. Plan, monitor, and report on project progress, risks, and financial performance, using NEC contract procedures and best practice. Liaise with contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders to resolve technical and contractual issues effectively. Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, statutory requirements, and local authority policies. Lead on the preparation, evaluation, and management of NEC contract variations, compensation events, and claims. Provide technically accurate advice and support to senior management, residents, and councillors regarding project delivery. Maintain accurate project records, reports, and management information systems for governance and audit purposes. Identify process improvements, lessons learned, and drive continuous improvement across highways projects.
