Are you a VAG Expert tired of the corporate grind? We are looking for a standout Vehicle Technician or Car Mechanic who takes real pride in German engineering. This isn't a role for the "ordinary"—we want a specialist who thrives in a high-performing, quality-driven environment but wants to actually enjoy their workday.
Based in Dorking, we are a premier, second-generation family-run specialist with over 60 years of history. We have the technical excellence of a main dealer but the heart (and the banter) of a cracking independent garage.
The Payload (Pay & Perks)
* Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 Basic (Depending on your experience) + Performance Bonuses.
* Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:30 pm (Strictly no weekends).
* The Workshop: A massive, modern 800 sq/m facility with dealer-level diagnostic systems (ODIS).
* Training: Ongoing technical development, including Hybrid and EV qualifications.

* Location: Dorking, perfectly placed for those in Reigate, Leatherhead, Guildford, or Horsham.
The Role: Specialist Work with Variety
While we are VAG Specialists (VW, Audi, SEAT, Skoda), we pride ourselves on a "can-do" attitude. You'll have a healthy mix of high-level German engineering projects and multi-make variety.
* Specialist Repair: Complex servicing and diagnostics across the VW Group range.
* Advanced Tech: Using ODIS and specialist tooling to identify and fix complex faults.
* Versatility: Handling all makes and models that enter our 800 sq/m workshop.
* Quality Control: Maintaining a high "first-time fix" rate and taking real pride in your bay.
* Team Spirit: Contributing to a safe, clean, and positive workshop atmosphere.
Are You The One?
* Experience: You are a qualified Vehicle Technician (NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent).
* VAG Brain: A strong background in Volkswagen, Audi, SEAT, or Skoda is highly preferred.
* Diagnostic Skill: You are confident with specialist software and mechanical problem-solving.
* Modern Ready: Knowledge of Hybrid/EV is a plus (but we will provide full training if not).
* Licence: You hold a Full UK Driving Licence.
* Vibe: You are professional, team-focused, and appreciate a workplace with a good sense of humor.
