Role: Purchase Ledger Assistant - Temporary Support Salary: Up to £15.50 per hour - Dependent on Experience Employment Type: TemporaryWorking Arrangement: Hybrid Working Available
We're excited to be supporting a well-established and growing retail brand in the recruitment of a Purchase Ledger Assistant to join their friendly and supportive finance team on a temporary basis.
Having recently transitioned from Navision to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central in July, this is an ideal time to join a business that's investing in its systems and evolving how finance operates.
Your Responsibilities:
* Processing purchase invoices and managing supplier accounts
* Matching, batching and coding invoices accurately
* Handling supplier queries and liaising with internal departments
* Reconciling supplier statements and supporting weekly payment runs
* Validating data within the new system - Business Central
* Assisting with month-end ledger close tasks as required
The Finance Team:
The team consists of three people in Accounts Payable and two in Accounts Receivable, with a Finance Analyst. The function is overseen by an experienced and supportive Finance Controller, and the culture is very relaxed, with a focus on collaboration and simplicity rather than formality.
Ideal Candidate:
* Previous experience in a Purchase Ledger or Accounts Payable role
* Strong attention to detail and a proactive mindset
* Comfortable adapting to system changes (Business Central experience is a plus)
* Able to work both independently and collaboratively within a small team
