As a Graduate Health & Safety Advisor will be an integral part of our delivery teams on high profile projects. Based in Motherwell you will collaborate closely with experienced professionals playing an active role in supporting our Health & Safety strategy across the projects.
Starting in September 2026, you will join our two-year structured Graduate Programme, combining formal training with practical on the job experience. Our programme offers a balance of training and on the job learning to support your transition to becoming an accomplished professional. You will take responsibility for your career, while we offer guidance and support to help you reach your goals.
We are looking for people who are motivated to continue learning and ready to take on new opportunities. You won't be alone during the scheme, and you will be supported to drive your development through reviews and regular meetings with the Early Careers team. You will also be able to join any of our employee-led networks, including our Young Professionals Network.
What you will deliver?
The type of tasks the successful candidate will be involved with are:
Support the Health and Safety Manager on driving and delivering against agreed standards.
Support the Operational Team(s) for risk reviews and controls to ensure safe systems of work are established.
Promote a positive health and safety culture in the business and ensure compliance to the management system.
Ensure the Health and Safety strategy is adopted and supported in its implementation.
Deliver against set Health and Safety policies and procedures, ensuring compliance and keep updating with key changes to legislation.
Review incident statistics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Support site audits, inspections, and accident investigations.
Attend meetings as requested by the Health and Safety Manager/Project Director.
Support the development and delivery of training material for the purposes of raising awareness and education.
Collaborate within the project and externally to ensure the safety of contractors and visitors.
Ensure all accidents and incidents are accurately reported and recorded.

Who are we looking for?
A degree in an applicable field i.e. Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management, Engineering or a related field
The desire to build a career in the Engineering/Construction industry
Experience of Excel and Pivot tables
Be self-motivated, with proven organisational ability and the drive to meet deadlines
Customer focused with the ability to communicate effectively
Passionate about the industry and the willingness to progress
Team focused, with the ability to interact with a wide variety of people at all levels
