About the Role:
A global manufacturing organisation requires an experienced Training Lead to define and deliver a major ERP training rollout. This is a critical “hands-on” role requiring experience in managing suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Reporting To:
The Project Manager
The Successful Candidate Will:
1. Deliver end-to-end management and oversight of a strategic training programme
2. Conduct and document the business Training Needs Analysis (TNA)
3. Source, onboard, and mobilise a 3rd-party training provider via a Request For Quotation (RFQ) process
4. Manage the successful delivery of the training workstream, including all internal and external resources
The role requires strong stakeholder engagement, project management skills, and experience in developing and implementing enterprise-level training programmes. Key to success will be the ability to review, source, and select appropriate training providers within a limited timeframe.
Essential Skills and Experience:
1. Proven delivery of successful ERP training programs (preferably D365)
2. Knowledge of modern learning methodologies (e-learning, face-to-face, etc.)
3. Experience in a Training Manager or Learning & Development leadership role
4. Strong knowledge of the training lifecycle – from strategy to delivery and evaluation
5. Experience producing RFQs and managing third-party providers
6. Experience conducting and delivering documented TNAs in complex environments
7. Understanding of adult learning principles and digital/modern training methodologies
Skills and Qualifications:
1. Experience within the heavy construction equipment industry
2. Professional certification (e.g., CIPD Level 5 or above, ATD, APMG, PRINCE2)
3. Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS), digital learning platforms, and e-learning solutions
4. Experience in change management and learning evaluation methodologies
The role is partially remote, with 2-3 days per week in Cambridge. Some travel within the UK and Europe will be required.
