Job Description
We require you to work with Network and Hub Management to ensure legal compliance with health and safety legislation. Providing health and safety advice and expertise to all business areas and teams and supporting the health and safety team in delivering critical health and safety projects and programmes.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Working with the business to promote and regulate a high standard of health and safety awareness in order to fully achieve compliance with legislation.
* Working with the business to promote a positive health and safety culture within DPD and support the strategic direction of the company.
* Supporting and advising sites in achieving compliance to health and safety legislation and effective reporting.
* Supporting sites with incident investigation and carrying out investigations of major incidents.
* Undertake frequent monitoring checks and inspections of sites as required.
* Work collaboratively to deliver progress towards Health and Safety Projects.
* Drive positive cultural change through employee consultation, engagement programs and delivery of health and safety information.
* Attendance at site and departmental Meetings as required.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role ideally you will hold either the NVQ Level 6 Diploma in Health and Safety or the NEBOSH Level 6 Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, or at least working towards such qualifications. You should as a minimum have an understanding of the application of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and its supporting legislation.
* You will have a proven track record in producing high quality health and safety documentation, including Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work.
* You will possess excellent communication and be able to communicate to a high standard in numerous formats.
* You will be comfortable working on your own initiative with the ability to prioritise and effectively manage your time.
* Due to the size of our operation, the ability to work collaboratively and supportively within the team is critical.
* You will have strong IT skills with experience of using Microsoft packages and/or Google Suite.

* Possess a full valid driving licence
* Be flexible to travel and to work a varied shift pattern to meet business requirement
