Working Hours: Monday – Friday (Rotating Shifts: 07:00 – 15:00 / 14:45 – 22:45)
Overview:
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established industrial operation based in Telford. This is a key role in maintaining and improving equipment reliability, reducing downtime, and supporting the smooth running of all site operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist with the configuration, installation, and commissioning of new equipment.
* Conduct planned and reactive maintenance to minimise equipment downtime.
* Carry out general maintenance on building services when required.
* Record and track maintenance activity using a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
* Promote and adhere to safe working practices, reporting any unsafe conditions or behaviours.
* Comply with all relevant quality, health & safety, and environmental standards and procedures.
* Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by management.
* Contribute to a positive health and safety culture.
* Foster fairness, integrity, and a collaborative working environment.

Candidate Profile:

* City and Guilds or equivalent in electro/mechanical engineering.
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a multi-skilled maintenance role (approx. 70% electrical, 30% mechanical).
* Strong fault-finding skills across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and automated systems.
* Familiarity with logistics equipment (e.g. conveyors, packaging lines, AC motors, inverters).
* Experience with PLC-controlled systems (SIEMENS S7 experience desirable).
* Knowledge of electrical systems including 3-phase and single-phase installations.
* Comfortable working at height using MEWPs (IPAF 3A/3B certification desirable or willingness to train).
* Experience with machining tools (e.g. lathes, drills, saws) and welding (TIG, MIG, or Arc).
* Skilled in using a wide range of portable power tools.
* Innovative, solution focused, and able to respond effectively to a dynamic environment.
* Willingness to work rotating shifts, be available for call-outs, and complete training as required.
* Medically fit to perform all duties associated with the role.
