Job Description
Reporting directly to the Assistant Director of Finance, this supervisory role is crucial to the success of the Finance function overall. The responsibilities include monitoring and challenging all costs and purchasing across the resort to meet key performance indicators and maximize profits. The role supervises the daily Goods Receiver/Yard Man to ensure quality systems and procedures are maintained. Ensuring all Health & Safety requirements are met in line with company SOPs, HACCP regulations, and general H&S is also essential. Additionally, the role involves assisting the wider Finance team as needed.
Essential Functions
* Analyze Food & Beverage costs across multiple outlets.
* Review and audit F&B recipes and pricing.
* Undertake stock takes for Food, Beverage, and Retail (Golf & Spa).
* Supervise the Goods Receiver/Yard Man, managing productivity and quality, and cover when off duty.
* Analyze and report stock variances to the Assistant Director of Finance and Department Heads.
* Generate reports on key cost areas for stakeholders.
* Maintain POS system pricing and content.
* Audit service delivery, monitor buffet costs and wastage.
* Develop and review par stocks, ensuring adherence to limits.
* Support managers in achieving budgeted costs of sales.
* Negotiate supplier contracts, evaluate bids, and secure internal approvals.
Candidate Specification
* At least 3 years of experience in Purchasing or Cost Control within hospitality or F&B industry preferred.
* Experience in a Finance/Accounting role is essential.
* Experience with Micros Simphony is preferred.
* Proficiency in POS systems and intermediate spreadsheet skills required.
* Self-motivated with good workload management skills.
* Effective communication and ability to challenge at all levels.
* Organized, methodical, and detail-oriented.
