Responsibilities
* Create, review and execute the Purchasing Plan to meet budget sales objectives, taking into account units, ASP by market, price point, brand, and channel.
* Own updates to the plan at relevant milestones (budget and LE cycles) to reflect evolving needs.
* Incorporate feedback from the Commercial Performance function on how actual purchasing performance impacts sales, re‑phase plans as necessary.
* Identify and set stock assortments by market based on internal and external data insights.
* Participate in defining a relevant set of stock KPIs to monitor gaps versus objectives.
* Monitor real‑time execution of the purchasing plan and liaise with UK & International Purchasing Managers to ensure delivery and re‑forecast where needed.
* Propose corrective actions and solutions to align purchasing trends with objectives, working closely with the Pricing Team on conversion and offer‑value matters.
* Manage enquiry to quote / MSL / 1p/2p – planning and monitoring activities.
* Ensure the Purchasing Plan is shared with all relevant department heads (Servicing, Purchasing, Logistics, Marketing) to allow their planning and flag any resource concerns.
* Execute the “publish to purchase” lifecycle reporting, bring stakeholders together to monitor progress vs plan, and identify problem areas or bottlenecks.
* For creation of promotional campaigns, work with the Merchandising team to identify inventory targets and ensure sales activities do not harm future coverage or sales.
* Analyse data, build dashboards, and report to monitor the Merchandise Planning & Purchasing situation and deviations against objectives.
* Own publishing of daily/weekly/monthly output volumes and brand/price‑point/entity conversions.
* Handle ad‑hoc data requests related to merchandise planning, purchasing, and inventory.
Qualifications
* Degree in Engineering, Mathematics or an equivalent diploma.
* Minimum 5 years of experience in Supply Chain or Merchandising within an international, digitally active company.
* Strong people skills and excellent communication.
* Proactive, solution‑oriented with strong business sense.
* Comfortable with data and able to collaborate with IT on ERP developments.
* Organised, efficient, capable of maintaining a top‑down view while paying great attention to detail.
* Team player who can multitask, work independently, and meet deadlines.
