Full Time, Permanent, Qualified ICT Teacher job vacancy - Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire.

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher specialising in ICT and STEM for Upper School and Post-16 students. This is an exciting opportunity to join an outstanding educational setting where you will inspire and engage young people, helping them to achieve their full potential.

Location

This role is based in Stoke-on-Trent and is easily commutable from nearby towns such as Newcastle-under-Lyme, Leek, Stone, Uttoxeter, Congleton, Crewe, and Stafford. Excellent road links via the A50, A500, and M6 make travelling by car straightforward from surrounding areas in Staffordshire, Cheshire, and Derbyshire.

The Role

As a Class Teacher, you will deliver engaging, high-quality teaching that enables students to progress academically, socially, and emotionally. You will champion a culture of excellence, equality, and high expectations, working collaboratively with colleagues to bring ICT and STEM learning to life.

Key Duties

* Plan and deliver engaging ICT and STEM lessons across KS2, KS3, KS4, and post-16.
* Foster an inclusive learning environment for students with ASC.
* Integrate technology into teaching to enhance learning and develop practical skills.
* Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum innovation and delivery.
* Contribute to wider school subjects where needed.
* To implement safeguarding and equality policies.

Essential Criteria

* PGCE, QTS, or equivalent teaching qualification, plus evidence of ongoing professional development
* Strong academic background and experience teaching ICT, Science, Technology, Engineering, or Maths
* Excellent ICT skills with a passion for technology and innovation
* In-depth knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
* Ability to build strong, supportive relationships with young people
* Experience supporting learners with anxiety or reluctance to engage.

Compliance

All applicants will be subject to pre-employment safeguarding checks, including an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Applicants must declare all convictions and cautions (including those considered "spent" unless they are "protected" under DBS filtering rules) to assess their suitability for working with children.
