The Opportunity:
Avantor is seeking a dedicated Life Science Sales Specialist in the West of England to sell life science products and services, acting as the primary point of contact for customers post-sale. This role focuses on customer satisfaction, retention, and business growth. In addition to face-to-face meetings, you will engage with customers via phone, email, chat, and video conferencing to close sales and support clients.
The Team
As a Life Science Sales Specialist, you will be part of a team of eight professionals specializing in selling life science products and services to customers across the West England.
What We're Looking For
1. Sales experience within a laboratory setting.
2. PhD or Master's degree in a relevant field such as Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Neurosciences, Biotechnology, Genetics, Immunology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Structural Biology, Proteomics, Agricultural Sciences, or Agronomy.
3. Strong business development and market knowledge skills.
4. Excellent communication, presentation, and teamwork abilities.
5. Proficiency in Excel and CRM systems.
6. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating reliability and confidence.
7. Full, clean driving license.
8. Commercially astute with strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
