Role details:
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Graduate Engineer to join our team at Altrad, working on key projects at Hinkley Point C. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable site-based experience, develop technical skills, and contribute to project delivery within a highly experienced team.
You will work closely with engineers and professionals, receiving accredited mentorship and support towards achieving Chartered status. With a can-do approach, you will provide hands-on mechanical input, support delivery activities, and add value across both site and office environments.
Experience: Early-career engineer with a mechanical bias, practical IT skills, and enthusiasm for site-based work
Skills: Strong communication and teamwork, adaptability, safety focus, and ambition to progress within large-scale engineering projects
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the design, analysis, and implementation of engineering projects.
* Prepare and review technical documentation, including specifications, calculations and drawings under supervision.
* Collaborate with a multi-discipline team and clients to ensure projects are completed safely, on time and within budget.
* Support senior engineers in project planning, execution, and quality control.
* Participate in site visits, inspections, and troubleshooting activities to support project requirements.
* Adhere to industry standards, regulations, best practices and company policies to ensure quality and safety in engineering design.
* Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering standards and practices within the organisation.
* Undertake professional development activities to enhance technical and leadership skills.
Key Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree (or higher) in an Engineering discipline or related field.
* Previous internship or project experience is desirable but not essential.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication and organisational skills.
* Flexibility to work autonomously and collaborate with a team in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks efficiently.
* Enthusiasm for continuous improvement and a passion for engineering.
