MMT / OTM Driver Required
We are seeking a Train Driver to fill a vacancy operating a Robel 69.70/4-UK as part of our Driver Operations Team.
Primarily based on our Basingstoke Depot, you will have responsibility for delivering the vehicle to work sites as required in a safe and timely manner providing first level response to any machine failures and ensuring a high level of cleanliness, reliability and performance is achieved.
As a Driver on the Main Line/NWR Main Sites, all usual driver responsibilities are in force.
* Compliance with Driver Standards Regulations
* Compliance with all Company Policies and Procedures including H&S and Quality & Environmental
* Carry out daily checks and servicing iaw laid down procedures
* Carry out internal checks and inspections as directed including Safety Inspections
* Accurate and prompt reporting of faults
* Ensure that the OTM is kept in an exceptionally clean and respectable condition
* Ensure adequate onboard welfare material and supplies are maintained onboard to ensure the highest standard of welfare is maintained
* Effectively collaborate with the NWR MMT Supervisors whilst working as an integral part of the NWR Delivery Team
* Ensure that all required paperwork is completed and logged in a timely manner
* We encourage all our staff to share any innovative solutions where you feel a process can be improved on or made easier etc
* In collaboration with the MMT Operations Management Team, work to reduce/eliminate accidental damage to the infrastructure when operating the OTM
* Report to Business Control as required including reporting of any accidents, incidents or emergencies
* Take responsibility for all H&S procedures ensuring the safety of yourself and others
* Ensure the use of PPE as supplied
* Do not undertake any work for which you have not been trained

* Previous Train Driver experience essential
* Must be able to commute to Basingstoke within 1 hour
* Must be medically fit and healthy and be able to pass a PTS related Medical and Drug & Alcohol check
* The role will require the driver to work shifts, must be flexible
* Work weekends
* Be able to stay away from home during training, Leeds and/or Romford

Salary between £58,000.00 and £63,700.00 p/a
