Overview of the Role
Conservation Architect role in London, working on bespoke residential and heritage projects across all RIBA stages. The position combines design development, technical detailing and project delivery. You will lead projects from concept to completion, engaging with clients, coordinating consultants and ensuring compliance with UK regulations.
Practice & Project Information
This established practice delivers residential, heritage and masterplanning projects across the UK. Work includes new-build private homes, refurbishments and listed building schemes. The studio focuses on contextual design, technical quality and detailed construction, supporting both independent working and collaborative delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead projects across all RIBA stages, maintaining design and technical quality
* Produce detailed drawings and specifications in line with UK regulations
* Manage client relationships and project communication
* Coordinate consultants, contractors and stakeholders
* Oversee project programmes, budgets and delivery timelines
* Contribute to design development with strong contextual and technical awareness
Required Skills and Experience
* Qualified Architect with a minimum of five years post-qualification experience
* Strong technical knowledge of residential and traditional construction
* Experience delivering projects across all RIBA stages
* Understanding of UK planning policy and building regulations
* Experience in contract administration and procurement routes
* Working knowledge of ArchiCAD or willingness to learn
