The Role:
We’re looking for a Head of Engineering to join our team. The role will report to our CTO and be responsible for overall software development and delivery within our core products. We could also consider someone with good experience who could take a step up.
You’ll be responsible for:
* Managing development efforts and personnel across multiple development teams
* Project and timeline management, including analysing requirements and needs, dealing with stakeholders and anchoring product development decisions in the wider organisation
* Requirements analysis and architecture
* Hands-on assisting and working with members of the team (of varying seniority and disciplines) to develop their abilities and help mentor and guide them to the best results
Position Requirements:
* Development experience with JavaScript (NodeJS)
* 5+ years of experience dealing with a varying set of databases
* 3+ years of experience with designing and managing/maintaining software architecture
* 3+ years of experience managing Software Engineering projects and teams
* Experience with the development of mobile applications on iOS/Android
* A solid technical understanding of cloud platforms, current programming practices and relevant technologies for large-scale online systems
* Experience from at least one previous company in an Engineering management role
* Must be based in the UK. The role is remote the majority of the time but you may be asked to come into the office for in-person meetings infrequently
