We have a fantastic opportunity for a Bank Healthcare Assistant to join the team at HMP Bullingdon, a Category B male remand and resettlement prison near Bicester. This role offers a varied environment with experience across primary care, mental health and substance misuse, including emergency response, working on the wings and clinics, health promotion, and more. No two days are the same in this challenging, yet rewarding and supportive environment.
Hours:
This role is bank. On bank the maximum hours you are allowed to work are 22.5 per week or 90 hours per month.
Shift patterns: 07:30 – 17:30, 07:30 – 19:30, 19:30 – 07:30
Salary: This role is Bank – £15.25 per hour

Candidates are required to have a Legal right to work in the UK and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks
What you'll be doing
* Support the registered nurse in implementing an agreed plan of care in association with the patient and in accordance with instructions and training received whilst promoting safe patient care
* Be willing to develop and apply new skills to maintain and enhance clinical service delivery

Qualifications required
* NVQ level 2/3 or equivalent in Health and Social Care
* A non-judgmental and compassionate approach
* Excellent communication skills
* Good IT skills and IT literacy
* Ability to work within a busy environment
* Ability to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures
