Working Hours: Flexible (Part time / Full Time) - Monday to Friday between 8:00am - 5:00pm.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for undertaking clinical and administrative duties related to immunisation, primarily delivered on-site for primary and secondary children in schools and community clinics.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Work collaboratively to support the team, organization, and stakeholders to ensure smooth service delivery.
* Vaccinate 20 to 25 schoolchildren per hour during flu season.
* Promote and support the operation of the School Aged Immunisation Service.
* Support Programme Managers, Team Lead, and Clinical Lead as applicable.
* Attend sites across different locations as directed.
* Deliver effective, evidence-based, and competent care to patients.
* Participate in clinical supervision and staff development.
* Report, monitor, and process all clinical incidents, near misses, and complaints per organizational policies.
* Participate in audits, make recommendations, and share outcomes for learning.
* Maintain up-to-date records in line with policies and guidelines.
* Contribute actively to team meetings.
* Undertake Gillick Competency Assessments and obtain verbal consent from parents/caregivers.
* Perform other duties as appropriate for the role.

Job responsibilities

Person Specification
Skills
* Immunisations with proof of Hepatitis B, MMR & Varicella.
* Understanding of the Routine National Immunisation schedule.
* Knowledge of informed consent principles.
* Computer literacy, including basic Excel skills.
* Effective written and verbal communication.
* Strong organizational and time management skills.
* Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
* Assertiveness, teamwork, and critical thinking.
* Driving license required.
* Signed competencies for relevant vaccinations (desirable).
Qualifications
* Nurses and Midwives registered with the NMC.
* Nursing and/or Midwifery qualification.
Experience
* Registered Nurse, Pharmacist, or Allied Healthcare Professional with active registration (NMC, GPhC, HCPC).
* Evidence of ongoing professional development.
* Experience working within PGD frameworks.
* Understanding of the Routine National Immunisation schedule.
