SENIOR CHEMICAL ENGINEER We are seeking a SENIOR CHEMICAL ENGINEER, to lead and support the initiation, design, implementation, and commissioning of Plant Modification Proposals (PMPs), enhancing and adapting existing plant operations. This is a pivotal role, combining technical expertise with project leadership to deliver safe, efficient, and innovative process improvements. Why Join Us? Define the scope and depth of hazard assessments, perform engineering calculations, develop testing programmes, and revise designs based on findings. Initiate and chair HAZOPs, maintaining comprehensive and up-to-date risk assessment records. Collaborate closely with Project Engineering to develop plant layouts, costings, and proposals for project authorisation. Provide expert chemical engineering input to Process Improvement Groups, project teams, and the Research Department for both new and existing process routes. Advise engineers, customers, contractors, and consultants on design, safety, construction materials, and processing techniques. Act as Project Leader on designated projects, with responsibility for design, budget, performance, and delivery to agreed targets. Organise design and commissioning work and resource planning to meet Production budget requirements. REQUIREMENTS Degree in Chemical Engineering (essential). You must be able to demonstrate Significant industrial experience in a relevant field, such as Chemical manufacturing Development and optimisation of chemical processes. Hands-on plant commissioning and troubleshooting experience. Experience with DSEAR methodology and implementation. Knowledge of SIL and LOPA risk assessments.
