About the Product Ivanti Neurons is a cutting‑edge, cloud‑based platform that powers intelligent IT workflows for enterprises. The Neurons Agent is a lightweight, cross‑platform application deployed to Windows, Mac, and Linux endpoints. It communicates with our cloud platform to receive work instructions and deploy functional Engines, providing an infrastructure foundation for advanced automation and orchestration on endpoints. About the Team You’ll join a globally distributed DevOps team focused on quality, security, and customer impact. We own end‑to‑end agent code that must run on Windows, Mac, and Linux, including Intel and ARM architectures. Collaboration and personal responsibility are critical; every team member solves complex problems and delivers features that matter. We prioritize stable releases, continuous monitoring, and rapid iteration to meet the highest standards of performance while minimizing the agent’s footprint.
About the Role As a Senior Engineer specializing in automated test frameworks, you will develop and expand test infrastructure for Windows, Mac, and Linux environments. You’ll collaborate with platform and feature teams to ensure robust coverage, streamlined pipelines, and high‑quality releases across the Neurons Agent ecosystem.
* Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks, focusing on Windows and Mac and extending support for Linux as development progresses.
* Implement and manage automated tests with PowerShell, leveraging Pester for advanced test suites.
* Develop and enhance automation for internal test servers and harnesses, supporting feature expansion and integration.
* Create, update, and troubleshoot Docker‑based test infrastructure, including Docker Swarm configuration and integration into CI/CD pipelines via Azure DevOps and Azure VMs.
* Work with complex networking scenarios required for testing (routing, HTTP, SSL, proxies).
* Collaborate with platform engineers to integrate and validate Agent features, occasionally applying basic C++ knowledge.
* Document processes, frameworks, and strategies; share best practices and knowledge with fellow engineers.
* Contribute to Agile ceremonies: planning, estimation, reviews, retrospectives, and continuous improvement.
What Is Your Background?
* Hands‑on experience with PowerShell and C#/.NET Core; experience on Pester is a plus.
* Practical experience in automated testing on Windows and Mac, with familiarity with Linux preferred.
* Proficiency with Docker and experience provisioning and managing test environments on Azure (Azure DevOps, Azure VMs).
* Solid understanding of networking technologies (routing, HTTP, SSL, proxying).
* Experience with custom test harnesses, internal automation, or test server platforms.
* Some exposure to Linux administration and scripting; deeper skills are a plus.
* Basic understanding of C++ for integration and troubleshooting.
* Excellent interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills for collaboration in a globally distributed team.
* Adaptable, self‑driven, proactive in process improvement, comfortable contributing to evolving systems.
