Bank Nurse at The Martlets – Shaw healthcare (Group) Ltd. This is a Bank (zero hours) contract. Working hours: As/when needed, 12-hour shifts (07:45-20:15 or 20:00-08:00). Location: The Martlets, East Preston, West Sussex.

About The Service
The Martlets is situated in the West Sussex coastal town of East Preston. The purpose built service provides long stay and respite residential care for older people with physical frailty, and for older people living with dementia. With 8 separate self contained wings, our residents are provided with their own team of dedicated professional care staff who are committed to placing each individual at the heart of what they do.
Shaw healthcare is looking for a Nurse to join the team in The Martlets, East Preston. You will join a team that is fully committed to making a difference to the lives of those who we provide care for. Our aim is to deliver the highest standard of care to our service users and to provide the same standard of care that we would expect our own family members to receive. You will be using the latest care technology that will enable you to spend more time with the service users that you care for. The Martlets has an excellent reputation as highly valued provider of care. The needs of our service users are at the centre of all we do every single day.
Key responsibilities
* Assessing patients' health and care needs and developing care plans
* Administering medication and monitoring service users' response
* Providing nursing care, including wound care and palliative care
* Liaising with other healthcare professionals to coordinate personalised care
* Supporting service users with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and toileting
* Providing emotional support to service users and their families
* Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records
* Working within the Care Quality Commission (CQC) guidelines to ensure high standards of care
* Contributing to the development and implementation of policies and procedures
* Participating in the induction and ongoing training of new staff members
Qualifications and experience
* NMC registered nurse
* Experience working in elderly care, including caring for patients with Alzheimer's and other dementia-related conditions
* Knowledge of the Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulations and standards
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team
* Ability to work independently and use own initiative
* Commitment to continuing professional development
