UX/UI Design Manager

As our new UX/UI Design Manager, you’llbe the voice of the user within a high-performing digital squad, working closely with product owners and cross-functional teammates to deliver experiences that improve digital NPS, reduce customer effort, and drive real value — for both users and the business.
This is a hands-on, craft-led role ideal for a T-shapedUX designer with deep skills in UI and visual design, plus broad capabilities across UX, research, prototyping, and interaction design. (No line management — all about the doing!)
As a UX/UI Design Manger, you will
1. Lead design within your squad — delivering elegant, accessible, and developer-ready digital solutions
2. Own the visual craft — create high-fidelity, pixel-perfect UI grounded in best practices and our design system
3. Conduct lightweight UX research — validate assumptions, run usability tests, and iterate based on real user insight
4. Evolve our design system — ensuring consistency, accessibility, and scalability across products
5. Collaborate cross-functionally — with developers, analysts, content designers, and product owners to turn ideas into reality
6. Champion user needs — while balancing business goals and driving results
To succeed as a UX/UI Design Manger, we’re looking for
7. A standout portfolio showcasing accessible, responsive, and visually compelling design solutions that solve real user needs across digital products and services.
8. Proficient in Figma (and other design/prototyping tools)
9. Strong skills in creating developer-ready assets and specs
10. Proven experience with user research (moderated or unmoderated usability testing)
11. Excellent active listening and note-taking skills
12. Confident, credible communication with stakeholders at all levels
13. Strategic thinking — balancing UX principles with business outcomes
14. Experience in healthcare or e-commerce digital products is a plus, but we welcome applicants with experience in other industries too.
