About the Role
Outwood Academy Kirkby seeks a highly effective and strategic leader to assume the critical role of Head of Humanities. This post requires an experienced, dynamic professional ideally a Geography specialist, dedicated to ensuring exceptional educational outcomes across History and Geography. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development, implementation, and rigorous assessment of a high-quality curriculum, driving continuous improvement in teaching standards and student attainment. With the support of Trust leads you will lead and manage a dedicated team, fostering an environment of academic excellence and professional development.We place students at the centre of everything we do, with a focus on creating a culture of success, a positive climate for learning, and increased student attainment, achievement and social and emotional development. As such we are keen to recruit dedicated and ambitious individuals who will add value to our Academy in both academic terms and through involvement in the fabric of learning and success beyond the classroom.
