As such we have an opportunity for an experienced Yard Operative / Shunter with mobile plant experience to join our busy team in Pollington. So, what's the mission? Your main duties will include moving stock from the production area into the yard using an FLT. You will operate a range of mobile plant equipment, including FLTs up to 12T, JCB or Volvo loading shovels, and telehandlers with various power mount attachments to move products across the yard and site. You will also support wider yard activities, including safely and efficiently loading and unloading vehicles while supporting the smooth running of overall yard operations, maintaining high standards of housekeeping, ensuring full compliance with company policies, and promoting best working practices at all times. Reporting to the Operations Team Manager, you will work in a performance-driven environment where safety, quality, waste reduction, and KPI targets are key priorities, and you will be expected to actively contribute to maintaining these standards. A Class 1 HGV licence would be advantageous, as training may be provided to operate shunter trucks to support the safe and efficient movement of products around the site. Full training will be provided where transferable skills from other industries are identified. You'll work 40 hours per week, and overtime is available at the company’s request. We require you to be flexible on the shift pattern and overtime as requirements may change during your contract. What are the mission-critical skills?
