Social Media Manager (Hospitality Focus)

Raise The Bar is a growing hospitality consultancy and creative agency working with independent pubs and restaurants across Cheshire and Greater Manchester.
We love creative and bold content, but our real focus is results.
Bookings, events, and revenue.
We’re now looking for a Social Media Manager to support delivery as we scale.
The Role
You will manage 4–5 client accounts across Instagram and Facebook (and some Linkedin)
You’ll take ownership of:
* Content creation, planning and scheduling
* Writing engaging, on-brand captions
* Trend research and content ideas
* Supporting campaigns for events, weddings, and seasonal offers
* Improving performance month to month
This is a freelance role with consistent hours, but you must be organised, reliable, and able to work independently.
What We’re Looking For
* UK-based and local to Stockport / Macclesfield area
* Previous experience managing social media accounts (agency, in-house, or your own business)
* Ideally a background in hospitality
* Strong understanding of Instagram and Facebook
* Highly organised with your own systems
You must:
* Be proactive and self-sufficient
* Take direct feedback well
* Have a good sense of humour
* Care about results, not just how things look
What Good Looks Like
* Strong hooks and attention-grabbing content
* Clear, well-written, on-brand captions (not generic or templated)
* Consistency across accounts
* Content that supports bookings and revenue
The Reality
* The pace is fast
* You’ll need to adapt to different brands and styles
* Systems are still being built
You’ll need to bring structure and stay on top of things without being chased.

* £16–£22 per hour depending on experience
* Around 20 hours per week
* Mostly remote with some on-site content days
* Must have a driving licence and access to a car
* Start ASAP
