Job summary
This position generates revenue/profit margin in assigned accounts via telephone or electronic means. May generate prospective customers through cold calling and/or qualify and follow-up with sales leads as provided. Focuses on accounts and prospects within assigned territories.
Essential Duties / Responsibilities
* Prospects for and identifies new opportunities at the assigned current customer base. Identifies new customers and new product opportunities to achieve and maintain sales revenue and margin targets within assigned territories.
* Generates and qualifies business leads in support of the Opportunity Pipeline growth targets.
* Utilizes SFDC to report competitor landscape and competitor pricing.
* Follows the sales process by managing opportunity data, creating inquiries (where needed), quoting, and follow-up to close.
* Aligned with territory management objectives, proactively communicates and builds relationships with key purchasing, engineering, and other relevant contacts within assigned accounts.
* In collaboration with the sales operation specialist (COE Resource), prepares reports on customer contacts, sales opportunities, and accomplishments within the company CRM tool to keep management up to date on pertinent information and activities, report results, and evaluate marketing strategies and sales territory plans.
Required Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in a technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
