Role Overview
We are recruiting a Lead Mechanical Engineer for the Anglian Water @One Alliance, involved in a £2.3 billion capital investment to revolutionize water infrastructure, sustainability, and digital transformation.
Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
* Promote innovative approaches and digital technologies.
* Build professional networks within the @One Alliance.
* Mentor junior engineers and foster their development.
Role Accountabilities
Engineering Leadership
* Report to the Principal Engineer and work closely with project stakeholders.
* Review design deliverables for quality, safety, and standards compliance.
* Contribute to construction design management and commissioning strategies.
* Drive sustainability and explore modular construction solutions.
Health & Safety
* Ensure designs meet health and safety regulations.
* Suggest solutions to improve safety and reduce costs.
* Share knowledge and contribute to lessons learned.
Transformation
* Utilize digital technologies to improve project efficiency.
* Support sustainability initiatives.
* Mentor team members for continuous improvement.
Candidate Profile
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field, with proven experience, preferably in water sector. Strong leadership, mentoring, and knowledge of industry standards. Proficiency in CAD and communication skills are essential.
