About The Role
GoLang Engineer – Burgess Hill, UK/Hybrid 3 Days – FTE 12 Months
We're looking for an enthusiastic, diligent Golang Software Engineer to work on the global Loyalty and Benefits platform. The candidate should have excellent soft skills, a strong technical ability, and an extensive passion to learn. As a Software Engineer you will be building and enhancing features in the Account domain and also coordinate with other Engineers across the platform to share knowledge and principals.
Responsibilities
* Build and enhance features in the Account domain of the Loyalty and Benefits platform.
* Coordinate and work with other engineers across the platform to share knowledge and principles.
* Deliver business functions and customer journeys that are tested and automated throughout the CICD pipeline to production.
* Use scrum framework to work as part of a team.
Qualifications
* Demonstrable experience in at least one backend type‑safe programming language, Golang preferred.
* Experienced with backend microservice architecture and communication, specifically REST and asynchronous messaging services (e.g. Kafka, RabbitMQ).
* Comfortable experience within a Scrum framework and delivering business functions.
* Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or other technical discipline, or equivalent work experience.
* Professional software development experience.
* Solid understanding of test‑driven development (unit, component, functional, system, integration, regression).
* Knowledge of Agile methodologies: Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, TDD, BDD, Waterfall.
* Knowledge of technologies including Kafka, Postgres, Golang, Git, gRPC, Docker, GraphQL.
* Experienced in continuous integration / continuous deployment / continuous testing, using tools such as Jenkins, Rally, JIRA, and version control such as Git or SVN.
Skills
* Golang – mandatory.
