The Senior Financial Accountant, EMEA is responsible for ensuring the day to day accounts and accounting processes are managed to a high standard. This will involve working closely with our outsourced AP & AR providers to ensure accuracy of data, smooth operations, and timely escalations to the Financial Controller, EMEA. Key Responsibilities: Assist with the month end close process, posting journals as required. Management of 1 Financial Accountants. Liaison with outsourced AP/AR/reporting functions as necessary, especially during month end and quarter close. Support with month end and quarterly Balance Sheet Reconciliations and variance analysis, for review by Financial Controller and HQ corporate team. Preparation of annual statutory accounts, including audit liaison. Building strong relationships with stakeholders across the business; Ensure the teams are raising PO's and processing invoices correctly and provided training where necessary Communicate required changes to processes Assist with their ad-hoc queries; and Understand their operations to ensure month end postings are accurate Key point of contact for the business Providing finance support to commercial and legal teams Overall responsibility for VAT process including reviewing and sign-off of outputs from internal VAT team including VAT returns Review and process monthly/quarterly intercompany recharges. Purchase order and purchasing group hierarchy maintenance. Work closely with our FP&A team to review P&L transactions, compare to budget, analyse variances, and propose corrections and commentary. Work with outsourced billing and collections teams ensuring accuracy and timeliness of collections. Any ad hoc analysis/projects as required for both Finance Controllership and FP&A teams. Basic Requirements: Qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA or equivalent). Previous experience of management accounts and reconciliations. Previous involvement in external audit processes Previous managerial and leadership experience Strong Microsoft Office skills (particularly Excel and PowerPoint). A confident and proactive communicator with the ability to effectively interact with non-finance personnel. Keen attention to detail. Strong analytical and reconciliation skills. The ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in an often-pressurised environment. Comfortable working in a dynamic, changing and growing environment. Comfortable in identifying issues and proposing solutions. The ability to operate effectively across diverse cultural and business environments. Desired Characteristics: Experience of working with outsourced teams. Experience of working with General Ledger and Consolidation systems, SAP/BPC/AOE. Experience working in a large multinational corporation Strong interest in the media industry and television business.
