Speech and Language Therapist

Location: Hampshire
Salary: £30,000 - £38,000 per annum
Contract: Full-time, Permanent

This independent specialist setting in Hampshire provides an inclusive, nurturing environment for children and young people whose learning and communication needs require a personalised approach. Situated in a tranquil semi‑rural location, the school offers access to extensive outdoor spaces, encouraging pupils to engage with nature as part of their holistic development.

The pupils attending the setting present with a range of additional needs, including autism spectrum conditions, ADHD, social and emotional difficulties, anxiety, and specific speech, language and communication challenges. The school is committed to delivering highly individualised education through small class sizes, integrated therapeutic support, and a curriculum designed to foster confidence, independence, and academic progress.

The school is seeking a dedicated and qualified Speech and Language Therapist to join its multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting pupils' communication and language development, ensuring that every child is empowered to reach their full potential both within and beyond the classroom.

Responsibilities

* Assess and identify the speech, language and communication needs of pupils across primary and secondary age ranges.
* Develop and deliver tailored therapy plans to meet individual targets and outcomes.
* Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group intervention sessions.
* Collaborate with teaching and support staff to integrate communication strategies into the classroom.
* Offer training, guidance and professional support to colleagues in relation to speech, language and communication development.
* Maintain accurate records, reports and documentation for families and external agencies.
* Contribute to multi‑disciplinary meetings and reviews, supporting holistic planning around each pupil's wellbeing and progress.


Qualifications

* Qualified Speech and Language Therapist with current HCPC registration.
* Experience of working with children and young people, ideally within an educational or SEN context.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative and flexible approach.
* Commitment to inclusive practice and the promotion of positive outcomes for all learners.
* Enthusiasm for contributing to a creative and supportive therapeutic community.
