Head of Resourcing, Sales at Cavendish Maine

The company are a leading manufacturer of quality flooring profiles and trims. The profiles are supplied and installed in residential and commercial projects around the world including Palaces, Hotels, Theatres, Retail Stores, Football Stadiums, and many more public buildings.

Job Description:

Due to planned growth my client is looking to strengthen its sales force with the key appointment of a Sales Professional covering Manchester, Lancashire, Merseyside, Cheshire, Yorkshire, Nottingham, Derbyshire.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is looking to pursue a long-term career within the flooring sector to join this respected market leader. The company is looking for someone who they can train and develop within the market. You will be responsible for the development of sales of a variety of flooring products to kitchen showrooms, merchant and DIY retail customers.

Key Duties include:

* To work with flooring contractors, flooring distributors, carpet retailers, main contractors, architects and specifiers to ensure that business is won at specification stage or our products are offered as “equally approved” by Flooring Contractors/ Main Contractors.
* Develop business in new growth areas with stone, ceramic and joinery companies.
* To gain business by breaking specification when it is detailed as “equal or approved”
* Development of sales opportunities via projects.
* Visit and develop project opportunities with architects and specifiers.
* Build a close working relationship with internal flooring sales contacts and work as a team to develop sales into the Flooring/Construction Industry.

Essential Experience Required:

You will need to be able to demonstrate persuasive, influential and negotiation skills. You will possess good computer skills including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Good interpersonal skills and be able to work to procedures that may deal with facts, standards and quality.

Having some selling experience into the flooring industry is ideal but not essential. Ideally you will be confident, enthusiastic, well organised and a self-motivated person who is able to generate new business by developing new relationships. You will enjoy a challenging environment, working to achieve set goals, ensuring results are achieved and targets met. You will be able to work to direction and seek authority where required.

Collaborative in approach – a team player, end goal focused, persistent-ability to work towards longer term objectives, strong verbal ability- able to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels, organized, self motivated, numerate and analytical, ability to work autonomously and in team environment.

If you have experience within the flooring sector that would be advantageous but not essential. Applications from candidates that have experience within the Ceramic Tiles or have experience dealing with Contractors would also be welcomed.
