Job Role
As PR Executive, you will play an important role in delivering day‑to‑day PR activity across the business, helping to bring our stories to life and support our reputation across priority markets. This is a hands‑on role that offers excellent exposure, responsibility and development for someone looking to grow their career in PR within a purpose‑led organisation. Working closely with the PR Manager and Senior PR Executive, you will take responsibility for defined PR activity, supporting press office delivery, media engagement and content creation, while building confidence, capability and sector understanding over time.
Responsibilities
* Deliver integrated PR activity across apetito’s priority markets, ensuring outputs are accurate, timely and aligned with campaign objectives.
* Support the running of the press office, including drafting press releases, managing media monitoring, logging coverage and maintaining media lists.
* Support media relations activity by pitching stories, responding to enquiries under guidance and helping to manage forward features and opportunities.
* Create engaging PR content, including press materials, case studies and social media content, working closely with Creative and Digital colleagues where required.
* Build understanding of our markets and audiences by staying informed on key issues and trends, attending relevant events and engaging with colleagues across the business.
* Track PR coverage and activity performance, supporting reporting and learning to inform future activity.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues across Brand & Communications and the wider business to support campaigns and share stories.
* Support internal and external events, conferences and other Brand & Communications activity as required.
Essential Qualifications
* Experience in PR, communications or a related field.
* Strong writing skills and confidence producing content for different audiences.
* Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
* Confidence to build relationships and represent the organisation professionally.
* Familiarity with social media platforms from a PR perspective.
* Curious and eager to learn – proactively builds PR skills, sector knowledge and commercial understanding, seeking out opportunities to learn and improve.
* Clear and confident communicator – expresses ideas professionally and thoughtfully, adapting style to different audiences and situations.
* Creative storyteller – enjoys finding engaging, relevant ways to bring stories to life that demonstrate how we make a real difference.
* Organised and dependable – manages time well, balances multiple tasks and deadlines, and takes pride in delivering accurate, high‑quality work.
* Resilient and adaptable – comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment, responding positively to feedback and changing priorities.

Desirable Qualifications
* Press office or media relations experience.
* Experience within food, health or social care sectors.
* PR qualification or equivalent professional development.

Other Details
This role is not eligible for sponsorship under the skilled worker route as it does not meet the minimum requirements set out under the UK Immigration Rules.
This role is based in our Trowbridge head office and you will need to be on site at least 3 days per week.
