We have anexciting opportunity to become a vital part of Derbyshire Mind's Senior ManagementTeam as Finance Manager,providing effective financial leadership and management in line with ourstrategy and values.
Main duties of the job
The Finance Manager is responsible for leading the financial strategic direction of Derbyshire Mind, as well as the overall management, development anddelivery of the Finance function.
Theyalso act as Company Secretary and are the lead manager responsible for dataprotection and information governance.They manage all IT related contracts for Derbyshire Mind and lead the ITfunction, supported by the Senior Administrator.

* A professional accountancy qualification such as ACA/ACCA/CIMA, and/or at least three years experience in a financial management role.

* Experience of implementing and maintaining effective financial management systems in an organisation of similar scope.
* Experience of preparing budgets, management accounts, financial reports, and service model costings for tender bids.
* Experience of managing and implementing payroll.
* Thorough knowledge of financial management, legislation and financial accounting principles and procedures.
Desirable
* Experience of working in a charitable/voluntary organisation.
* Experience of managing and supervising staff.
* Working knowledge of IT and the principles of information governance/data protection.

* Flexible in approach and willing to work occasional evenings and weekends when required.
