Belcan’s Marine Engineering Division is currently experiencing significant growth and is seeking to recruit several Outfit Detail Design Engineers, on a Permanent or Contract (Inside IR35) basis, at an Engineer – Senior Engineer level.
This role involves working on naval marine design projects for defence vessels. Experience with similar design work for commercial vessels is also of interest. The responsibilities include undertaking detail design activities, such as designing layouts of cabins and areas within vessels.
Daily tasks include producing 3D models and 2D outputs to support operations within our Marine sector, while adhering to Belcan’s quality, management, and service standards.
The successful candidate should be comfortable working in an Engineering Service environment, balancing technical responsibilities with commercial and project deadlines. Required technical skills include compartment design, equipment integration, ship’s access and escape environments, insulation, paint, and deck coverings.
Software Experience: Proficiency in FORAN, supported by experience in naval marine design projects related to outfitting and layouts, is essential.
