Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of our organization. This position requires strong accounting skills, familiarity with financial analysis, and effective communication abilities. The Accounts Assistant will work closely with various departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and assist in the administration of educational financial services.
Duties
* Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial records and reports.
* Perform data entry tasks related to accounting and financial transactions.
* Support the processing of loans and financial aid applications in accordance with institutional policies.
* Utilize Ellucian and PeopleSoft systems for managing student accounts and financial data.
* Conduct basic financial analysis to support budgeting and forecasting activities.
* Collaborate with education administration staff to ensure compliance with regulations and policies.
* Communicate effectively with students, faculty, and staff regarding account inquiries and financial matters.
* Maintain organized documentation for audits and compliance reviews.
Qualifications
* Proficiency in accounting principles and practices.
* Experience with Ellucian or PeopleSoft is preferred but not mandatory.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform financial analysis accurately.
* Familiarity with education administration processes is a plus.
* Knowledge of loan processing procedures within the financial services sector is beneficial.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
* Strong mathematical skills for accurate data handling and reporting.
