We are looking for a part-time driver for our Glasgow operations, to work on our On-Street Operations, which includes supporting the Glasgow bike hire scheme;
What you'll get up to:
You will be part of a team responsible for the service and rebalancing of bicycles, bicycle fleet and associated equipment, Working primarily within On-Street operations. You will strive to get bikes and their users on the move, measured against agreed KPI's, ensuring we meet and exceed client expectations.
You will be a conscientious, hard-working, and dedicated individual who appreciates quality and attention to detail, taking responsibility for your own workload but also work as part of a highly efficient team.
Whilst full training will be given, you should understand basic bicycle maintenance. We also look for those with a passion for everything cycling, together with the social, health and wellbeing and, environmental impact of it.
For the right people, there are also opportunities to grow in the company as well as work on exciting projects across the UK and France.
Key Accountabilities
* Carry out rebalancing of bikes, recover lost/stray/stolen bikes.
* Diagnose and carry out basic maintenance.
* Ensure stations are clean, tidy and signage is free of stickers and graffiti.
* Ensure an even distribution of bikes across the city.
* Log activities on a smartphone via digital tools/platforms and service applications
* Ensure vehicles, equipment and tools are maintained to a high standard.
* Adhere to all Health & Safety procedures and protocols.
* Reports directly to the Logistics Manager.
* Present a professional image of Velogik at all times.
* Ensure all Velogik clients and business activities receive an excellent level of customer service.
* Assist with all other Velogik operations and activities as reasonably required to fulfil the needs of the business. This may include workshop and on street activities, distribution tasks, offsite maintenance, attending events and Dr Bike workshops.
Key Skills & Experience
* A basic knowledge of bicycles, even as a hobbyist.
* Experience and adherence to Health & Safety procedures and protocols.
* Knowledge and/or experience of environmental and social impacts of a business.
* A clean driver's licence is essential, as is good local knowledge of the Greater Glasgow area.
* Experience driving long wheelbase vans essential.
* A great personality and attitude to work
