Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista/Kitchen Assistant to join our vibrant team. Responsibilities
* Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, adhering to company standards.
* Assist with food preparation tasks, ensuring all items meet quality and safety standards.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and service areas throughout shifts.
* Serve customers efficiently, taking orders accurately and providing friendly assistance.
* Follow food safety protocols at all times, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation procedures.
* Manage cash register operations, including basic maths for transactions and giving correct change.
* Support the team during busy periods by multitasking effectively and prioritising tasks.
* Ensure prompt delivery of orders to minimise wait times and enhance customer satisfaction.
Skills
* Proven experience as a barista or in a similar role is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
* Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food handling.
* Excellent serving skills with a friendly, approachable manner.
* Ability to assist with food preparation efficiently while maintaining hygiene standards.
* Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
* Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks during busy periods.
* Good organisational skills to keep work areas clean and well-stocked.
* Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
