Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting experienced and dedicated Level 3 qualified Teaching Assistants to support pupils on a 1:1 basis across schools in Northumberland, starting in September 2025. These are long-term roles with both full-time and part-time opportunities available.
We are looking for candidates who have experience working within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and are confident supporting children with additional needs. You will play a key role in helping to deliver personalised learning, supporting individual development, and contributing to a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Role Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 support to pupils with specific educational and developmental needs
* Assist the class teacher with planning, preparation, and delivery of tailored activities
* Monitor and record pupil progress in line with school and EYFS expectations
* Support behaviour management and promote positive learning outcomes
* Liaise with parents, carers, and external professionals where necessary
Requirements:
* Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent)
* Experience working within EYFS settings
* Previous 1:1 support experience is desirable
* Strong interpersonal skills and a patient, adaptable approach
* A DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
