Job Description:
Flexible Supply Roles – Teaching & Support Staff Primary School in Whitby
Are you looking for flexible, local work in education without the pressure of a permanent role? We’re working with a brilliant school in Whitby that’s keen to connect with supply staff who can support them on an ongoing basis.
This includes both Teaching Assistants and Qualified Teachers who are confident stepping into a range of situations – from short-notice cover to planned absences for PPA, training or leadership time. Whether you’re available a couple of days a week or just now and again, we want to hear from you.
The school is well-organised, friendly and has clear routines in place, making it a great option for anyone who enjoys working flexibly but still wants consistency and support.
You might be:
1. A qualified teacher stepping away from full-time posts but keen to stay in the classroom
2. A TA looking to work in a familiar setting without a long-term commitment
3. Someone returning to education and wanting to ease back in
4. A flexible worker who’s reliable and calm under pressure
What’s needed:
5. Recent experience working in primary education
6. A DBS on the Update Service, or happy to apply for one through us
7. A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to be adaptable in different year groups
Why choose Castle Education?
8. We support over 120 schools and trusts across the region
9. Free access to 25+ CPD courses to keep your skills sharp
10. A local, friendly and experienced education team
11. Excellent referral schemes and a giving-back fund for community projects
12. Mental health and wellbeing support whenever you need it
13. Flexible roles to suit your priorities, availability and ambitions
