The Role:



This role sits at the heart of the Product Development team, providing essential administrative and operational support across the full development cycle. You will ensure the smooth flow of prototypes, samples, raw materials, and documentation by maintaining accurate data, tracking shipments, and supporting day to day communication with vendors and internal teams.

You will work closely with Product Developers, Raw Material Developers, and the wider cross functional teams to ensure all information, materials, and samples are organised, up to date, and easily accessible. This position is critical in keeping processes running efficiently and accurately, helping the team deliver exceptional product on time while upholding DeMellier’s high standards of quality and craftsmanship.



This is a role for someone who thrives in organisation and structure, enjoys administrative tasks, and takes pride in maintaining precise and reliable records. While you will gain exposure to every stage of development, this position is best suited to someone who enjoys being a dependable backbone to the team.




Reception and Shipment Handling:

* Liaising with vendors on shipments, tracking and monitoring deliveries to ensure they arrive on time.

* Pack and ship protos and raw materials to vendors, create shipping labels, and track shipments proactively flagging any issues with the pd team and helping to resolve them.

* Maintain the “life tracker” of all shipments.

Record Keeping/ Administration:



* Assist the team with PO management of prototypes, showroom samples, raw materials.

* Responsible for organising and processing grv’s and recording invoices with finance.

* Maintain and update necessary data and ensuring accuracy is maintained in Priority.

* Support pd team in updating priority/PLM running reports to check data accuracy.

* Support the team in maintaining up-to-date vendor forms.

* Manage shipment of raw material and finished good to and from labs.

* Supports with Industrialisation admin.

Product Development support

* Assist PD team in taking pictures of protos and samples.

* Ensuring sms are always kept in a good condition.

* Support preparing samples for production, wholesale, creative and marketing handovers.

* Coordinate and record wear testing of finished products, actively gathering feedback and flagging any issues to the pd team.

* Support the PD team in assuring the weight and dimensions file for all products is up to date, ensuring correct data is recorded in priority/PLM.

* Assist in the creation of barcodes and labelling samples, ensuring codes match the bags.

* Supports maintaining the edge-paint and threads master file and library for all factories.


Raw Material Development Support:

* Places PO’s for sms, chases sms orders, keeps sms raw materials tracker up to date, raises issues with raw materials developers immediately.

* Sends approved material and colour references to factories, creative team and copywriter.

* Assists in maintaining the development library, archiving labdips and hardware samples and keeping material archive organised.

Workspace Organisation:



* Maintains a full-time presence in the office in Hammersmith, with optional bi-weekly Friday hybrid work.

* Administrative support to the PD team including supporting with booking and prepping for meetings, taking minutes & ad hoc seasonal activities.

* Support the team organising, filing, and archiving samples & swatches.

* Overall maintenance of pd and design workspace tidiness.

The Ideal candidate:

* Must have full right to work in the UK.

* Fluent in English, and Spanish speaking would be a plus.

* Highly organised and meticulous, with a strong eye for detail.

* Comfortable working with numbers, data, and multiple trackers.

* Enjoys administrative work and maintaining structured systems.

* Confident managing documentation, processes, and scheduling.

* Calm, reliable, and proactive in flagging issues and supporting the team.

* Able to manage repetitive tasks with focus and accuracy.

* Strong communicator with a helpful, collaborative attitude.

* Interested in fashion or product creation, but not seeking a PD growth path.

* Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of responsibilities.

* Available in the Hammersmith office at least four days per week, with part time options considered.
